Schnell wurde klar, dass wir die Welt der hochwertigen Spirituosen ähnlich sahen. Wir legten beide grossen Wert auf Transparenz, um unseren Kunden im Detail zeigen zu können, was sich in Ihrem Glas befindet. Diese Transparenz ist auch aus den Details auf unserem Rücketikett bei dieser Abfüllung ersichtlich.
Château Garreau gehörte im 19. Jahrhundert einem russischen Prinzen und ist seit 1919 im Besitz der Familie Garreau.
Aus über 50 Mustern, inklusive Armagnac aus den 1960ern, haben wir uns nun für diesen 2003er für unsere erste Armagnac Abfüllung entschieden. 2003 war ein sehr heisser Jahrgang, was wir im Armagnac im vertikalen Quervergleich zu anderen Jahrgängen schnell herausschmeckten Obwohl er mit einer Fassstärke von nur 44.8% abgefüllt wurde, ist dieser Armagnac extrem konzentriert und vielschichtig.
Er dürfte besonders Liebhabern von Sherry Whiskys gut gefallen.

Our first Armagnac for Whiskylovers.
It is with great joy that we can present you with this Château Garreau Bas Armagnac from 2003. We began speaking with Grégoire Fabre about doing a bottling in the first half of 2022. During our conversations, it quickly became clear that we viewed the world of quality spirits the same way, emphasizing transparency. This becomes very clear when looking at the level of detail on the back label of this bottling.
Château Garreau belonged to a Russian prince during the 19th century, before passing on to a British lord and then finally landing in the hands of the Garreau family in 1919.
We tried over 50 samples over multiple evenings, including samples from the 1960s, before settling on this beautiful 2003 as our first bottling. 2003 was an incredibly hot summer in Europe, which we immediately tasted in our vertical vintage tasting. Though the natural cask strength of this cask was only 44.8%, this Armagnac is incredibly rich, deep, and concentrated, offering layers and layers of flavour and complexity.
Particularly lovers of sherry casked whiskies should find great pleasure in this product.
